Help with scheduling

Have eyou ever been in a email loop with someone trying to find a date when you both can meet.  You send out the first email asking if they can meet on one day and they reply back with another day that you can’t do and the loop continues.   Our lives are busy and I’ve found a tool that will end this problem or at least help find a date for an event a bit easier.  Whichdateworks.com will let you choose all the days you can do the event, then you send an email to everyone who is involved and they can choose from those days which are best for them.  Give it a try.

Netbook Revolution

Over the past year and a half the netbook has taken the computer market by storm.  Netbooks are compact laptops that are great for emailing and surfing the web, but I would try writing your next novel on one.   Both Scott and I have a Dell Mini 9 and love its size because we can easily travel with it.   PC World has an overview of the 22 models that have been released in the past 18 months

Outlook Attachments

Attachments on emails in Outlook, if not kept in check, can make your data file burst at the seams.  The bigger the data file, the more likely corruption will happen.  When corruption happens you can say goodbye to all of your saved emails.  OutlookAttachView scans all messages stored in your Outlook, and displays the list of all attached files that it finds.  It will then let you save all of those attachments and get them out of Outlook.  Try it before disaster strikes.

Extra Storage Space

Are pictures of the kids and movie downloads consuming every last megabyte on your compuer?  You might be ready for a Drobo then.  What is a drobo? It is a revolutionary storage system that lets you swap hard drives out quickly and easily to add more storage or it one fails.  Its redundant storage technology brings together safety, reliability, expandability, efficiency and ease-of-use.  I had to steal that last part from their web site because it summed up Drobo in one perfect sentence.  Check it out for yourself.

RSS Explained

I’ve been searching for a while now, without much luck, for a web site that has an easy to understand explanation of  RSS feeds.  RSS -really simple syndication – for those of you who don’t know, is an information delivery method that brings  blog posts, news stories or other web content right to your fingertips.   RSS is not something scary that only geeks are using.  RSS is for everyone.   If you are on the Internet, save yourself some time and get that content quickly and easily.  Below is a video that I found that does an excellent job of introducing RSS.
